Hapiness

Hapiness scares me
It scared Amir's mom as well....
When you get too much of it...
It is an indication to something horrible about to happen.
Don't give me too much hapiness god.
Pls.
I fear it.

Fear

I stare into your eyes
I see the same fear creeping in
You tell me
It will be fine.
I nod.
We smile at each other and embrace.
But we know what the next day holds...
We know what our futue holds...
There is an unspoken understanding between us.
An unspoken never ending love.

Random crapping

I fall down
I muster up the courage to get up.
I see you.
I call out your name. You keep walking...
Is it too late?
Or have you gone deaf?
I run behind you.
I lose you in the crowd.
I fall down.
I can't get up again.
I don't want to.

Autoviewer

I saw this very interesting tool known as the autoviewer to develop a page for all you photographers to showcase their work.

It looks absolutely brilliant.

It might be very useful for Vikas. Try it dude!

Here's the Link :
http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/autoviewer/

I have made a page using this as well.
But all the pictures used are not mine. And not "oh so great"!

If I do come up with something marvellous before you, I shall publish it.

Whenever I miss you
I look forward to a new day...
Whenever my heart aches
I tell it to relax....just a few more hours
But once time flies past
And the days pass
I miss you
Today
And Tomorrow.
Time doesn't fly.
Yet it doesn't stop.
Where is the new day now?
Where are the few more hours now?

The first picture is outside the church (St. Basillica).
The most lovey part about Europe (Eastern and Western) are these performances!
Wherever you go, talent follows!
Second picture is the famous bridge.
Giving you more heads up on that, remember "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam"
Rem the scene when Ash runs on the bridge!
Well this is the bridge, they shot the movie in Budapest and tagged it as Italy!
Third picture is a restaurant called "Robinson's"....It's owned by Robbie Williams.
Someone in the SAP office said that...God knows if that is true.
But yea...It was beautiful on a Sunday afternoon.
The cruise...Ah!
Fifth one...Hero's square!
Gotta be there to feel the magic.
I forgot the name of this famous roman church. It had a lot of history to it!
And the guide was extremely pakao!! :(
The last one is the parliament.
I thought it was OK, my colleague has a 100 shots of it...and I am not kidding.
Now comes the good part.
All pics were taken with my cellphone!
Yes you heard it right...Samsung SGH 600 !
And not a fancy cam....so yea I am the genius....at editing!
The pics were edited using Picassa!
Just added a bit of magic!
Well all photographers do it, the ones who don't are not photographers! ;)
Tips on Editing:
Picasa2
Settings:
Color temperature
Light quality
Cropping
Shadows
Highlights
Maybe an effect (but rarely)

Now that you all learnt a great lesson today!
Tell me how do I add text between the pics....This freaking (you all know I don't use bad words in print) blog doesn't allow me to do so!!
So comments pls!!

Jab we MET

While watching the movie for the 3 and half'th time, I had this thought.

When I have children, I won't have a wonderful story like these 2 about me and him to tell them.
When we met, there was no train, there was no adventure, there was no Ratlam and there was Hotel Descent !! How I wish there were those things....but these things only happen on screen. And that too rarely....How often do movies come that make you just fall in love with them. I had lost the faith in Indian cinema...but then came Jab we met.

I am not going to get into the story. After all, a review is supposed to have that part. But then who hasn't seen the movie...!! If you are reading this and you haven't.... Pls book your tickets now. Its still running in PVR ;-)

The music is fantastic. I love each song more than the previous one.
My favorite being "Aaoge Jab tum..."
And this time while watching the movie me and Adi...were actually copying all the steps of "mauja hi mauja" and dancing.

The very strange part is that this is the first time I saw chemistry between this off screen couple. They both look absolutely made for each other. And when people finally realize that and get over the bull shit like Kareena looks like his mommy. She had to go and dump him ! How sleazy was that! Wish they would get back together!...Shhhh.... Gossip gossip!

He went for some shooting abroad, and when he came back he found himself with the tag no better than "Single and ready to mingle" Tch Tch!

Shahid....I am there for you...Just look around ! ;-)
All girls love him after the movie, and the sympathy we give after he has gotten dumped makes him more popular than bebo.

I can't believe I covered an entire para on their breakup. I am no less into it !
Well if all the news channels can focus their attention on it for at least a week with specials on Shahid Kareena...Why shouldn't I care for adding spice to drag some visitors to my blog ;-)

I love Kareena's wardrobe. She has lost a lot of weight and is looking stunning in just about anything in the movie.
Shahid, has a more sophisticated look and buoy can he dance!!

All in all, a super non complicated flick.

Do watch it if you haven't yet....and if you have...go again!

Entourage

The meaning : A group of attendants or followers (Drama, Eric and turtle)

The male version of SATC finally comes out.

Well after years of we women ruling it....finally !!

Metro sexual males have been the IN thing for quite sometime now.

The show takes a look at the day-to-day life of Vincent (Vince) Chase, a hot young actor in modern-day Hollywood, and his entourage. The guys have become used to the stardom and Vince will keep his career alive and climbing with the help of best bud Eric and agent Arnie. That's the plot or whatever and it remains pretty stagnant throughout!

The show is eye candy when it comes to the great looks, places, sex, babes, dudes, fowl language... It's all about "LIVING IT UP" and I am a firm believer of that...so I most definately loved it. I watched 8 episodes which was basically the entire I season in 1 go...with a few unmissable breaks.... Thanks for disturbing -(pee, adi, mom, shetty......... ) ;-)
Vince is a greek god
Though I love love Eric or E or whatever!

Sneak peaks :

Forgotten world

Old memories

All day staring at the ceiling...
Making friends with shadows on the wall....

Ram Gopal Varma started the genre. He started glorifying gangsters and criminals. Everyone followed.

Another movie came out last friday. Nothing special about it either. Not cuz the movie lacked anything, but for the plain fact that such things have been done time and again.

The story as the name says is about the famous Shoot out @ Lokhandwala in Mumbai. The story is old and has been made before as well. The events took place in November,1991. I would still not base it as some heroic attempt of the police department. It was easy, they didn't track these people. They were barely puppets in the hands of the DON. He wanted them out of his way, and the Mumbai Police Dpt. were a part of his game.

So when people make sucha movie... What are they trying to glorify? Or are they even trying on a message here?

If the message is : At the end of the day, good wins and these guys collapse!
Not really right? The good here.. was just a mere puppet and the bad... well the evil still exists!
If he is glorifying these extremely stylish criminals then its just a pathetic lesson for one and all.

On a lighter note, Vivek is the best part about the movie. He looks good. More than good. He looks fabulous in these gangster roles and has given a good performance after long.
Fashion Advice : Check out the jeans fit... it is fab! If you get to know the make and model... please post it here as a comment.
A huge star cast with very short roles. Abhishek is present for a few seconds. Amitabh is marvellous for a few minutes of his part. Sanjay Dutt has always been flawless. The Khan brother is uninteresting and so is Suneil Shetty. The spelling change brought him nothing but ill fortune. Tushar is nothing but funny as a gangster. He fails to deliver a dialogue with any conviction.

The movie has got an awesome background score. Am still trying to find it. Leave a comment if you find it. Goes something like...."huuuuummmm .... now or never!!" The songs are absolute garbage. The expressions however while dancing to them are superb. "Aye ganpat... chal daroo la..." is the tolerable one! Here's the video :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC9ujBnoedc

If I were to direct the movie... I wouldn't have pulled it for so long and would have gotten directly to the point. Make documentaries guys... why waste big movie stars on trivial puppet shows!

All in all... a good movie. A well directed venture, good performances, score but def no story or plot! No point whatsoever.

The sad part however, there are just NO freaking good movies being made this year. Its almost June....

Just a little heads up on the post below....

This is something that I had written. A draft of the first few chapters of Maya.

I intend on putting it here.... but just wanna take it slow.

I used to write a lot...

Somewhere along the way... came Maya...

A few pages from the many chapters that I wrote.

Afterglow

Does a song ever touch you that deeply?

Some do... When I'm living in your afterglow.

INXS lost Michael and selected JD Fortune as their lead voice. I wondered if he would ever live upto it. I don't know about that...

Getting to the song:

The song became so important just...now.

Wonder why I never paid heed when I was introduced to it time and again by close friends.

Well Manavi has a way with influence.

Can't believe I would have heard it as much as Kangna(unplugged). There is no reason. Kangna had all the reasons.

Can't believe its become our favorite. The our refers to my cousin and me.

Can't believe someone can be so hot! Yes Ladies and gentlemen ... I present to you JD Fortune. Gift to all kinds.

Can't believe the video lived upto the song. This almost never happens. Check it out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7gTLK7efzo&mode=related&search=

Can't believe something could have been more haunting than "Walk on". I am on "Ganja" without even knowing it.

Can't believe I would admit that JD was the right choice and not Marty Casey!

Well a whole write up dedicated to one song!

It must be good...

The song : Download it !!

Lastly,

The image could not be moved...it's here... somewhere!

JD
Wallpaper for a long time?? ;-)
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrowAs I let you go
I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Maya has turned out beautifully...

Its not yet over.. But it is beautiful. I am proud of it.

Who do we look good for?

An article on this featured the latest Sunday review of the times.

Interesting perspectives on people from the entertainment industry.

What interests me the most today is being diplomatic is so not in !! The "in" thing is to blatantly admit the truth or sometimes even make up something not that "priestly" to catch attention.
No one wants any idols and Teresa's over the place. What has more entertainment value is frankness and having the guts to own up to the fact "that yes we are human". And after all nobody is perfect. Except for me of course... I am nobody ;) Sorry!!

Anyways getting back to the point of who do we wanna look good for? In other words who do we try and impress?

Let me first put down my take on it before pointing fingers at the others which I will most def do.

I never really put thought into it. It was always like there are a few days I put a lil effort to look good, a few when I just say "what the heck!" and the rest are just vanilla. As far as people go,

Men - general public i.e men u don't know - Well some always stare. Be it any of these 3 situations. So its def not for them.

Men - the ones u know. OK yeah maybe... if he's someone special.. and you might wanna catch his attention. But then he puts you off and says , "Well I didn't even notice.. u always look good."
Boo hoo ! So it shouldn't be them.
But shoulda woulda coulda we still do it ! :)

Women - again the ones u dunno - caught a bitchy look? Woah! My day is made! I am def looking rocking. So this is more fun than anything! Its some thing called self gratification.

Women - now coming to the ones you know. Well if they are your very good friends. Its an honest opinion and its always taken as a compliment. If they aren't your v close pals and just acquaintances or just a girl who looks at you from the corner of her eye. A criticism or a sad piece of humour from them, implies that you are looking stunning baby! So just don't even think twice.

So obviously sad but true, not only me but most of the women dress for the other women(more often than not). We are weird. A wise man once told me,"You spend so much money on foot wear. We don't even notice it." That wise man was my dad. And yet I never stopped buying footwear. I know one thing and that is that I notice it.

I guess I have harped a lot. Sometimes I don't understand how I can write so much about such "irrelevant" topics! Well as you can see, I can :)

Vermin

Also known as poison for the people here who didn't know.

What can it do?

Instant death or slow death.

What is better?

One thing is for sure, no one would survive.

My question... my friend?
What is better?
Instant death or slow death?

Instant... no idea of what happened.
Slow - test of torture

Is this symbolic?
If it is... wouldn't it be more painful?

Yes it is symbolic.
Yes it is more painful.

Is this a test?
Maybe a bitter sweet symphony.

Will you be alive once its over?

Let it be over first.

But what would come first?

Being over or being dead.

A harmful post after all. Harmful to the mind.
Yes people life is beautiful. Its just not harmless all the time.

Ooooooooooooohty

As upsetting as last week was, the weekend turned out to be a bundle full of joy!

A friend came to rescue with the idea of this amazing break. I agreed. Like I had anything better to do. :-)

I would like to thank the telecom dept all over for allowing 4 way conversations in one call. Yes I agree some companies will soon go under. In any case, getting back to the trip, the details of the trip i.e the Location, time, place of stay were decided on this conference.

I got woken up at 5 in the morning. I dunno why my friend did not believe my alarm. To top of it all, after I managed to answer his call at 5 I was accused of sounding like a mouse. :-(
"Sher ko jaga ke bolta hai u sound like a mouse" !!!! Panga #86758

So there we were, all 5 of us. With one exception, gulls was on call. He maintained that status till the point where the signal ditched him. The commentary stopped and his relationship with K750i came to a halt. For sometime. Just for sometime. :-) Don't kill me gulls... I was nice to you all through the trip... These guys were the ummmm beep beep!!

The journey lasted about 6-7 hours. The halts in coffee day, a dingy looking shop were fun! The pictures say it all. The journey was good because of a few reasons. Afterall everything in life has a reason other than "why do u smoke?"

Reasons:

1). Good taste in music. Dhantu you rock! Excellent cd for the hours traveled.
Whenever I listen to a few songs I will remember the journey!
We sang together
"Kyu aajkal neend kam khaab zyaada hai...
Kya mujhe pyaar hai.... ayeeeeeeeee yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!"

2). The captain. Needless to say.

3). Roopich's puppet dance. ;-)

Last but the best... We were having FUN!

The hotel was a delight, well it had to be. It was going to leave holes in our pockets :)

Ooooooh ty was oh so cold! Thank god for all the cardigans!

The thermally maintained pool, so as to say. Well it wasn't maintained. The boys don't agree. It was icy people!

Gulls knows right places. Have to give him a lot of credit to him for Lounge Bar. Never expected a place like that in Ooty. The music exceeded expectations and we invited the DJ to come play here, we know where he could be. Yes my friends, Fuga needs him desperately. The place did meet its expectations when they showed their shock on being asked for cranberry juice. Well we felt sorry, that we asked. :-) All in all, amazing music and I danced without a break. There was no time for a break, each song was better than the last one. Felt a high.. Not the booze but just life! Aliens wasn't that great... But everything is fine when on a high. Dhantu would agree. :-)

Botanical gardens, the boat ride, the train journey to Conoor left us tired. But then the photo shoot was pretty amazing. Our current wallpapers feature them. And people are jealous! Now not everybody is destined for excellent weekends. Wicked!

A sauna sucks out all the little energy left in you. Going to dinner was a titanic task, but hitting Aliens seemed easy again. I wonder how the human mind works ;)

Bluff late in the night. Some people never learn. Some people learn it too well !

There are just too many bits and pieces which were so damn hilarious then. The moments can never come out that well in print. I would just leave it all here.

It was an excellent 3 day break. We all agree. Getting back to work on Tues. Well that pretty much sucked! The only reason the day went by was thanks to the pics!

Lets rock and roll ! Delhi... You are next baby! ;)

Acceptance

I was in school when I heard first about homosexuality, I did not believe it. I thought it was a new fad to our gen X. It was just a good joke.

As time passed by, a lot of people including friends and acquaintances accepted that there orientation was different from what was considered "normal". I thought they were just being brainwashed by a new fad. When asked to speak, I said, "Don't be silly. It can't be." Obviously I wasn't the right person for a heart to heart for this issue.

It was not discussed further. The reason me and many other people didn't believe in it was because it had never come up before and it was not something "normal" or even a hush hush word like sex. It was new. There was no problem in acceptance, the problem here was belief. It was a new concept.

But after many forced discussions, articles, TV shows I realized it was not a new concept that was catching everyone's attention. It was something that was always there. People all over the world, every caste, creed, religion and class had individuals who had different orientations. What opened my eyes even more was that it was more prevalent in the villages of India. I saw a documentary somewhere which featured these women who felt this way but had no idea why they felt this way. It never was a norm and hence it never came out.

Till just a few years back, it came to a level when calling someone a gay or a lesbian was quite a joke. It was a good joke and sometimes it even came in the same category of an abuse. :-)

Today its all over the place. Its still not considered normal in every sector of our society and our country. But then, its more relaxed. It has become reality and is no more a fad.

There are too many things done behind the closet and when they finally spring out, its hard they get any acceptance. Too much of hoo haa starts around the whole matter. The society, the media, the politicians, the varied opinions and perspectives that no one asked for are given. It becomes harder for people then who were brave enough to accept.

Its a funny place. First a taboo, then a fad then finally normal. Why these phases?
